© 2016-2020 Stratford & District Model Railway Club Hosted by Ardenley
We are a small friendly group meeting every Tuesday (daytime and evening), Thursday and Saturday and we are actively looking for new members to help develop and take the club forward.
The club caters for a range of scales, interests and abilities and welcomes anyone interested in the hobby.
Members have the opportunity to work on our layouts, help each other fix problems, learn new skills, refine existing ones, share tips and expertise, or simply have a chat and make new friends over a cup of tea.
Members are all ages and backgrounds, and whatever your experience and skill you will be given a warm welcome (and a biscuit)!
Workshops and club projects are arranged for members who want to learn more on or have a go at various areas of the hobby without fear of making mistakes (a large percentage of our members are new to the hobby).
The club also arranges various social events during the year from visiting other clubs, trips on preserved railways, modellers layouts at home to a Christmas lunch!
Once a month on a Saturday we hold a ‘running session’ where members can bring in their own locomotives and stock to run on the layouts, a great time is had ‘watching’ trains, having a natter, drinking tea, also bacon or sausage rolls are available!
Regular workshops, social events, and running days are held throughout the year for members.
If you would like further information then you are welcome to pop in on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday and see what's going on (but it is always worth a phone call or email to confirm members will be there).
You will find our address, contact numbers and email information on our ‘Contact Us’ page.
